Ingredients

▢ 24 ounces cranberries cleaned (6 cups - 2 regular 12 ounce bags)
▢ zest from 1 large orange
▢ 4 cups freshly squeezed orange juice (regular no pump orange juice also works)
▢ 1 ½ cups white sugar
▢ ⅓ cup brown sugar
▢ cinnamon stick
▢ pinch salt

Instructions

In a large saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, brown sugar, orange zest, freshly squeezed orange juice, a cinnamon stick and salt.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer, stirring occasionally until cranberries pop, become tender and the mixture thickens slightly, about 25-30 minutes. (Sauce will thicken more as it cools.)
Remove from heat; let cool completely. Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
