Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups chicken breast cooked & shredded
- 8 oz cream cheese softened and cut into small pieces
- ยฝ cup sour cream
- ยฝ cup Frankโs Red Hot sauce
- 1ยฝ teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ยพ cup sharp orange cheddar cheese shredded (for the dip)
- ยพ cup Monterey Jack cheese shredded (for the dip)
- ยพ cup blue cheese crumbled
- ยฝ cup sharp orange cheddar cheese shredded (for topping)
- ยฝ cup Monterey Jack cheese shredded (for topping)
Garnish
- green onion finely sliced
- blue cheese crumbled
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
- Mix the base: In a large bowl, stir together the cream cheese, sour cream, Frankโs Red Hot sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth and well combined.
- Add the chicken and cheese: Fold in the shredded chicken, ยพ cup orange cheddar, ยพ cup Monterey Jack, and blue cheese until evenly mixed.
- Bake the dip: Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared dish. Top with the remaining ยฝ cup cheddar and ยฝ cup Monterey Jack. Bake uncovered for 20โ25 minutes, until hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
- Serve: Let rest for about 20 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, or refrigerate and serve chilled if you prefer a cool, creamy buffalo chicken dip. Garnish with green onions or extra blue cheese on top. Serve with tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, or sliced baguette.
